Twitter Promotes The Opportunities for Retail Businesses on Twitter. Andrew Hutchinson, writing in Social Media Today, notes ‘While Twitter is known as a key source for breaking news, the platform also offers significant potential in customer service, with many brands providing faster response than via traditional contact methods. But Twitter can also be valuable in various other ways, including for shopping, with Twitter’s latest research showing that more than 70% of Twitter users are interested in retail, and have bought online or instore in the past week.’ Hutchinson continues, ‘Twitter’s latest report looks at the specifics of how shoppers use Twitter, and includes some interesting findings:
⦿ 66% of Twitter users log in on a daily basis, with the largest proportion active between 6pm and 9pm
⦿ 24% of those using Twitter for retail-related activities on Twitter do so to search for deals
⦿ Around 76% of Twitter users already follow brands, with retailers making up around 30% of them

Remember, social media marketing isn’t always the tech. It’s the people.

Today, traditional TV still accounts for the lion’s share of video viewing, but online and mobile are where the growth is. When managed together, TV/digital/mobile hold the potential to drive real impact for advertisers—enabling them to maximize the customers they reach and/or reinforce key messaging across screens. After all, ‘It’s all about screens’.
