According to an article written by Alex Weprin in Media Post, ‘The number of videos lasting longer than 90 seconds on social was up 24% in the third quarter from the first quarter. Still, media companies appear to be getting the memo from Facebook and other social platforms: The number of videos that run more than 90 seconds increased more than 24% compared to Q1 of this year. Wochit also found that there was a correlation between the number of videos published on social platforms and the number of followers of that page. Remember, social media marketing isn’t always the tech. It’s the people.
Today, traditional TV still accounts for the lion’s share of video viewing, but online and mobile are where the growth is. When managed together, TV/digital/mobile hold the potential to drive real impact for advertisers—enabling them to maximize the customers they reach and/or reinforce key messaging across screens. After all, ‘It’s all about screens’.
