Sunday evening, CBS telecast the fourth episode of ‘Wisdom Of The Crowd‘ (‘Under Bias’), a landmark series is based on the idea that a sufficient enough volume of feedback via social media can cut through individual garbage and yield truth. SOPHE, the platform and center of the program is designed to accumulate shared information online, effectively deputizing the internet to develop and explore leads and generally to play detective. Well, in Nebraska this morning, take a look at what happened. According to Maggie Cunningham, the digital media manager KETV in Omaha, ‘An assault occurred in Bellevue Monday morning, according to police. Officers were notified of the incident that had occurred in Freeman Park around 6:30 a.m. The assault was recorded by an unknown involved person and had been shared via social media. Bellevue police are in possession of the video recording and are investigating the incident. Some of the individuals involved in this crime have been identified. Bellevue officials said based on initial information from this investigation, the victim was injured, but did not seek medical attention. Officers said they believe the assault took place about three to four weeks ago. It is unknown if the individuals involved are juveniles or young adults, but police say they will continue to investigate. Bellevue Public Schools have been made aware of the incident and will continue to work in cooperation with the Bellevue Police Department.’
