This Weekend in 1942, ‘Wake Island‘ was directed by John Farrow. The film tells the story of the United States military garrison on Wake Island and the onslaught by the Japanese following the attack on Pearl Harbor. It stars Brian Donlevy, Robert Preston, Macdonald Carey, Albert Dekker, Barbara Britton, and William Bendix.It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (William Bendix), Best Director, Best Picture and Best Writing, Original Screenplay. Skype has 300 milllion active users and there are 1.000 billion users on Whatsapp. With 900 million active users on Facebook Messenger, 60 billion messages are sent via Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp every day, each with over 1 billion daily users. Netflix now has 75 million streaming subscribers. QQ has 853 million active users. WeChat has 697 million active users while QZone has 640 million. Baidu Tieba has 300 million active users while Viber has 249 million. Sina Weibo has 222 million active users while Line has 215 million. Snapchat has 200 million users and 150 million users are active each day, watching 10 billion videos each day. YY has 122 million active users; VKontakte has 100 million active users as does BBM and Telegram. How Active Are Brands on Snapchat? The analysis (Snaplytics’ report is based on an analysis of more than 1,100 brands, 32,000 stories and a total of 246,000 Snaps.) suggests that brand activity on the platform has declined relative to the same period last year. During the second quarter, for example, brands averaged 13 stories per month. While that was slightly more than the first quarter (12), it was down from a high of 16 stories per brand in the year-earlier period of Q2 2016. Moreover, brands are averaging fewer Snaps per story. During this past quarter, stories posted by brands averaged 9.3 Snaps, down from an average of about 11 in each of the prior 5 quarters. The number of Snaps per story declined on a quarter-over-quarter basis across brands in most industries, particularly consumer services, consumer goods, and retail.

Pinterest has 110 million monthly active users. LinkedIn has 347 million registered members with 100 million active users. Tumblr has 555 million users and Weibo has 100 million daily users. Skype has 300 milllion active users and there are 1.000 billion users on Whatsapp. With 900 million active users on Facebook Messenger, 60 billion messages are sent via Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp every day, each with over 1 billion daily users. Netflix now has 75 million streaming subscribers. QQ has 853 million active users. WeChat has 697 million active users while QZone has 640 million. Baidu Tieba has 300 million active users while Viber has 249 million. Sina Weibo has 222 million active users while Line has 215 million. Snapchat has 200 million users and 150 million users are active each day, watching 10 billion videos each day. YY has 122 million active users; VKontakte has 100 million active users as does BBM and Telegram.

How Active Are Brands on Snapchat? The analysis (Snaplytics’ report is based on an analysis of more than 1,100 brands, 32,000 stories and a total of 246,000 Snaps.) suggests that brand activity on the platform has declined relative to the same period last year. During the second quarter, for example, brands averaged 13 stories per month. While that was slightly more than the first quarter (12), it was down from a high of 16 stories per brand in the year-earlier period of Q2 2016. Moreover, brands are averaging fewer Snaps per story. During this past quarter, stories posted by brands averaged 9.3 Snaps, down from an average of about 11 in each of the prior 5 quarters. The number of Snaps per story declined on a quarter-over-quarter basis across brands in most industries, particularly consumer services, consumer goods, and retail.
